Paul Stonehouse – Photographer & Visual Storyteller

Welcome to Paul Stonehouse Photography, where every photograph is a story waiting to be told.

With over 28 years behind the lens, my passion has shifted from capturing life's milestones of weddings, engagements and headshots to exploring the quieter, often overlooked moments, the landscapes, textures, and forgotten places that whisper of history, change, and time passing by.

My photography is rooted in wanderlust and nostalgia. I find inspiration on the backroads, where small towns fade into the horizon, where weathered barns lean into the wind, and where rusted signs and peeling paint tell stories of another era. Whether it’s an old storefront frozen in time, a long-abandoned homestead, or a relic tucked away in the corner of an antique shop, I’m drawn to images that remind us

of things once cherished—now resting in attics, collecting dust, yet still holding meaning.

More than just landscapes, my work is about capturing a sense of place—the echoes of a town long past its heyday, the way light falls on forgotten relics, or the fleeting magic of a golden-hour sky over an empty highway. It’s about finding beauty in the unnoticed, stillness in the forgotten, and stories in the quiet corners of the world.

Each photograph invites you to slow down, to look closer, and to feel the passage of time in a single frame. This is my journey, and I invite you to come along—one road, one mountain range, one rusted sign, one weathered barn, one story at a time.
